Artboom began after a chance remark made to me by my artist girlfriend, Hilary Teale; she said that many of her colleagues were having difficulty finding Galleries that would display their artwork. The idea quickly formed that there should be a website which allowed artists to show their artwork to art collectors and sell directly to them. The idea that they could sell prints of their work soon followed to help artists make a living by doing the things that inspire them. Artboom has now become a meeting place for everyone with an interest in Art.

If you are an Artist you can show your Art Works to Art Collectors who can either buy your original works or prints of them if you chose to offer them. You can promote your events, write a blog, join Art Discussion Groups and even speak to other members directly online.

If you are looking for a new piece of art to buy and know what you are looking for you can search for it by medium such as painting, sculpture, ceramic etc or by the Movement the Art work might belong to, by artist, colour, subject and tags.

Art Galleries can use Artboom to issue Press Releases about their Artists work, show their Artist's works to potential collectors, put upcoming Exhibitions on our Events Calender and even sell both original works of Art and prints through the site.
